The public areas of Fred Olsen Black Watch were completely refurbished in late 2009 and a new casual dining area, the Braemar Garden, was created offering seating for over 120 guests as well as a buffet areas and a stylish bar.

The soft furnishings in the Pipers Bar, Glentanar Restaurant, the Neptune Lounge and the Observatory Lounge were also updated giving the Braemar cruise ship an elegant feel.
