Day 1: 20th December 2010 Southampton, UK

Cunard's home port, part of seafaring legend, is an ideal starting or ending point for a memorable cruise. No airport check ins. No baggage restrictions. No hassle! Simply start your holiday in style with a glass of champagne on deck aboard one of the most famous ocean liners in the world.

Day 2: 21st December 2010 Cruising the Atlantic Ocean

Day 3: 22nd December 2010 La Coruna, Spain

Visit Santiago de Compostela, a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Site and place of Christian pilgrimage third only to Jerusalem and Rome.

Day 4: 23rd December 2010 Lisbon, Portugal

Portugal's capital spreads its ancient sites on seven hills overlooking the Tagus River. Atop the highest hill, St. George's Castle overlooks the city. Balconies ablaze with geraniums and wrought iron lamps light up the medieval Alfama quarter. Sorrowful fados ring out from cafés in the Alto. Shoppers browse in the affluent Chiado district. A short drive away, deposed royalty once lived out their days in the opulent palaces of Estoril and Sintra.

Day 5: 24th December 2010 Gibraltar, UK

Stand atop the rock. Cable cars carry you up this ancient Pillar of Hercules for views that will stay with you forever – with a stop to meet those famous barbary apes, of course!

Day 6: 25th December 2010 Cruising the Atlantic Ocean

Day 7: 26th December 2010 Arrecife, Lanzarote

Day 8: 27th December 2010 Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

The Canary Islands have some of the most striking and diverse scenery of any islands on earth: dry volcanic deserts, a snowcapped mountain, lush fields with banana and pineapple plantations, plus spectacular beaches! Only 70 miles from the coast of Africa, the Canaries were a way station for Spanish galleons and Las Palmas was the provisioning stop for Columbus on all four of his voyages. See the palace where he stayed and wander through a fascinating collection of 15th-century marine memorabilia.

Day 9: 28th December 2010 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands

Take a deep breath. Can you smell bananas or pineapples? They are grown in the plantations which are just for a short ride away from the beautiful beach resorts and lively town centre of the island.

Day 10: 29th December 2010 Santa Cruz de la palma, La Palma

Day 11: 30th December 2010 Funchal, Madeira

Lush botanical gardens and superbly landscaped terraces adorn the hills above the capital. Settle down in a local café and soak up the scenery with a perfectly chilled glass of fortified wine - an island speciality.

Cunard

If travel is meant to be savoured, then crossing the oceans should be a majestic experience, not merely a hop across the pond. For travellers of this persuasion, only one name evokes the pleasures of a golden era: Cunard Line.

Proudly continuing the tradition of luxury cruising that began in 1840, Queen Victoria was successfully launched in December 2007 and was named by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall in a spectacular ceremony in Southampton.

Queen Mary 2 continues her scheduled transatlantic service and the demand for this legendary crossing is growing. Maintaining the tradition of her Cunard and White Star Line predecessors, Queen Mary 2 is the only ship offering regularly scheduled transatlantic service.

Cunard Line is one of the world's most recognised brand names with a classic British heritage and is part of Carnival Corporation and PLC.
