Already a veteran sailor, your journey has really only just begun as you leave New Zealand and prepare your senses for the next whirlwind of experiences…

VOYAGE HIGHLIGHTS:

San Francisco
Streets rollercoaster up and down the hills, affording superb vistas of San Francisco Bay, spanned by one of the world's most famous sights, the Golden Gate Bridge. Surrounded by hills and urban development, traversed by bridges, dotted with sails and 14 small islands, including the notorious Alcatraz, the bay is the largest inlet on the Californian Coast. Fisherman's Wharf at the edge of the bay is a popular place to eat, stroll and shop, with its resident seals a favourite photographic subject. From its diverse neighbourhoods to its bay front pleasure-land and the offshore bulk of the Alcatraz prison, overlooked by Nob Hill, it is a city of unique charm and character.

Vietnam
Beyond the verdant patchworks of rice paddies and lampshade-style hate lies an island filled with beauty waiting to be discovered. Scenes of natural beauty, ethnic culture, and imperial history, of timeless traditional villages, idyllic sea resorts and dynamic cities take you far beyond expectation and into a world of delightful incredible diversity, tradition and beauty. Between the lush Red River Delta and the highlands in the north, lie miles of white sandy beaches, towering mountains, rivers and dense forests, and the thousands of bizarre rock and cave formations on the islands of Halong Bay.

Dubai
Almost surreal in its high-rise glory, Dubai is a Mecca for partying, fun in the sun, and fine dining. Experience a taste of luxury in this United Emirates showpiece that has it all. One of the city's top attractions is its excellent shopping, with a paradise of malls, souks, boutiques and modern department stores selling everything from Paris fashions to Japanese electronics, and all with the added lure of tax-free price tags! For those seeking the more relaxed side of the city, you can enjoy basking on the exquisite beaches explore the historical district of al-Bastakia, or take a boat trip up Dubai creek or to the artificial Palm Islands.

A great place for shopping, visiting the Flea Market, or the Maketi Fou, the central market selling fresh produce. Visit the Anglican Church with its beautiful stain glass windows or take a ride out of Apia along the south coast to discover a string of sparkling palm-fringed beaches, booming white surf and lush rainforests.

Day 35: 7th February 2012 Pago Pago, American Samoa

Surrounded by high mountains, which plunge deep into the sea, Pago Pago (pronounced Pango Pango) is one of the Pacific's deepest and most dramatic natural harbours. Born of a volcano, this small bay was formed when the seaward wall of the great caldera collapsed, allowing the sea to rush in. Here you'll discover that the people are friendly, the village life charming and the scenery breathtaking!

Day 38: 10th February 2012 Port Denarau, Fiji

Day 41: 13th February 2012 Auckland

New Zealand’s biggest city and major cruise port, Auckland, sits between the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea, which is how it came to host the America’s Cup twice - in 1999 and 2002 - attracting investment to transform the harbourside into a superb meeting and eating place which all visitors can now appreciate.

Day 42: 14th February 2012 Bay of Islands, New Zealand

The Bay of Islands region is New Zealand’s finest maritime park and comprises 144 islands and myriad bays and beaches around the coastline. The Bay, with its subtropical climate and pristine natural environment, has an abundance of marine life, including the big marlin, whales, penguins, dolphins, gannets and many other species. And although it’s an aquatic playground for adventure activities and escapist relaxation, much of Northlands extensive coastline remains unspoilt.

Bask on Bondi Beach for a dose of sun, sea and sand. Or travel a little further afield for a glimpse of the Aussie wildlife and views of the Blue Mountains. This vibrant city has it all!

Day 47: 19th February 2012 Brisbane

Capital of Far North Queensland, tourist gateway to the rainforest, and the region’s only major cruise port, Cairns still has a small town feel. That is because the locals have adopted a quintessentially casual approach to life, probably due to the prevailing tropical conditions which place an emphasis on outdoor activities.

Day 49: 21st February 2012 Cairns, Australia

Framed by rainforest mountain ranges and the Coral Sea, Cairns lies in the heart of Tropical North Queensland. A modern, sophisticated city, its focal point is the Cairns Esplanade which combines landscaped gardens, restaurants and a natural harbour. A great base for exploring this region's reef, the rainforest and outback, there's plenty to see further afield too. Take a skyrail cable car or the scenic railway train through rainforest. Or head off in search of a glimpse of this region's native wildlife including crocodiles, koalas, parrots and finches.

Day 52: 24th February 2012 Darwin, Australia

Cruise into Darwin and it is ‘welcome to Crocodile Dundee country,’ for this is the gateway to the legendary Kakadu World Heritage Park. Day 59: 2nd March 2012 Nha Trang, Vietnam

Set against a backdrop of lushly-forested mountains, with a beautiful waterfront and wide, golden beaches, the Vietnamese seaside resort of Nha Trang is now well on its way to becoming a sophisticated modern town. You will still find plenty of old fashioned charm, though, in the colourful markets, lively restaurants and broad streets of its bustling downtown area, which lies close to the clear turquoise seas, uncrowded sands and excellent diving and snorkelling facilities of the main City Beach.

Day 60: 3rd March 2012 Phu My

Day 62: 5th March 2012 Sihanoukville, Cambodia

Also known as Kampong Saom, Sihanoukville, situated on the southern coast of Cambodia, is renowned for its long white beaches, fringed by pine trees. Day 66: 9th March 2012 Singapore

The ‘Lion City', Singapore, offers visitors a colourful colonial history, beautiful gardens, and a dazzling array of shops and markets. You'll find evidence of the city's oriental origins in Chinatown, home to a number of splendidly restored ancient temples and in the crowded streets, fortune tellers, calligraphers and temple worshippers are still a part of everyday life. On Orchard Road you'll find shops brimming with desirables, perfect for picking up the odd souvenir or two!

Day 67: 10th March 2012 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur combines cutting edge architecture with the charm of another era. Home to a efficient monorail system and the Petronas Towers, the world's tallest buildings at the time of their construction, this appears a very modern capital. But there is also another side. Colonial mansions, Moorish architecture and mosques present a more established image of the city. Take a trip to the top of Kuala Lumpur Tower for fantastic views. Explore the manicured spaces of Lake Gardens and take in Chinatown's street vendors, bright lights and fragrant cuisine.

Day 68: 11th March 2012 Penang, Malaysia

Formerly known as Bombay, Mumbai is the wealthiest, most cosmopolitan and diverse city on the sub-continent. Victorian administrative buildings and memorials like the Gateway to India provide magnificent reminders of the Raj. Visit Chowpatty Beach for a vigorous massage or visit the fascinating Prince of Wales Museum.

Day 77: 20th March 2012 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
